Summer Volunteering Opportunities

Mud Hero – Ottawa, ON

Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026
Shift Time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Second Harvest is partnering with Mud Hero, the largest all-Canadian obstacle series. We are looking for volunteers to support the Ottawa Mud Hero event in a variety of roles, including Obstacle Look Out, Finish Line Motivator, Registration and Bag Check.

Location: Marked: Ultimate Family Adventure Park, 13259 Highway 7, Carleton Place ON K7C 3P1‍

Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old on the event day.

Feeding Our Future – Calgary

Activity: Assemble 1,000 healthy snack packs per shift for children and youth attending summer camps.

Location: 260081 Nose Creek Blvd, Rocky View County, AB T4A 3P5

July Dates: July 6, 13, 20 and 27

August Dates: August 4, 10, 17 and 24

Shift Times: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Requirements: 15–25 volunteers needed per shift; volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

Activity: Assemble 1,000 healthy snack packs per shift for children and youth attending summer camps.

Location: 180 Poplar Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2L 2C3

Dates: July 13, 20, and 27, and August 4

Shift Time: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Requirements: 15–20 volunteers needed per shift; volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
