[Our partnership with Second Harvest is] life-saving in many ways. You can’t put a value on a partnership like this. When it keeps coming and coming, and giving and giving and giving, and we can pass on that to anybody and everybody, that’s the value of it. A partnership is something you work together on for a common goal.
Through Second Harvest, you get a lot of fresh produce. We have been able to get lots of baby formula, which is really important. Baby food as well. We're getting a lot of snack foods because some of the moms who are here also have children who would be in school ... They can come here and they don't have to go home with empty shelves. The impact is fantastic and we're really thankful for Second Harvest.
Since our partnership with Second Harvest, we've been able to rescue hundreds of thousands of pounds of food. The impact of the food that we recover is absolutely amazing. We have a lot more people having to turn to food banks that are simply not able to make ends meet at the end of the month ... And we want to always let those people know that we're not here to judge. We just want to make sure that you have what you need to be able to feed your families.
